We prepare all legal, translation, and customs documents for your state registration. From export certificates and de-registration paperwork in Japan to EPA Form 3520-1 and DOT Form HS-7 for U.S. customs clearance — we handle the paperwork so you don’t have to.

THE 25-YEAR RULE

Under U.S. federal law, vehicles that are 25 years or older are exempt from modern NHTSA safety standards and EPA emissions requirements. This is the legal pathway that makes importing classic Japanese kei trucks, vans, and other vehicles straightforward and affordable.

All vehicles we export meet this 25-year exemption threshold. We verify build dates against Japanese export certificates and ensure all documentation is consistent for smooth customs clearance at U.S. ports of entry.

Note: While federal import is covered by the 25-year rule, individual state registration requirements vary. Some states have additional restrictions on kei-class vehicles. We’re happy to advise on your specific state’s requirements.
